The agreement
These terms apply when you create a Sportel account or use the Sportel app, website or venue dashboard. If you do not agree with them, please do not use Sportel. If you are using Sportel on behalf of a venue or business, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for it.
Your account
You must be at least 13 years old, give accurate details, and keep your sign-in method secure. You are responsible for what happens on your account. One person, one account — accounts created to farm referral rewards or evade a suspension will be closed.
Tell us promptly at support@sportel.pk if you think someone else has access to your account.
What Sportel is (and isn't)
Sportel is a booking platform. Courts, coaching, facilities and tournaments are provided by independent venues and organisers, not by us. We pass on their availability, prices and rules as they publish them, and we take payment on their behalf — but the sporting service itself is a contract between you and the venue or organiser.
Bookings and cancellations
- A booking is confirmed once payment succeeds and you see the confirmation in the app.
- Each venue sets its own cancellation window and refund terms. The terms that apply to your booking are shown before you pay and on the booking itself.
- Where a cancellation qualifies for a refund, we return it as Sportel wallet credit immediately, or to your original payment method where that is required.
- If a venue cancels on you, closes unexpectedly, or the court is unusable, you get a full refund. Tell us and we will chase the venue on your behalf.
- Turning up late does not extend your slot, and no-shows are not refundable.
Open games and split payments
- A host who opens a game to other players sets whether the host pays for the court or the cost is split between players.
- On a split game, each player is charged their own share when they join. If the game does not fill, the host decides whether to go ahead and cover the difference or cancel.
- If a game is cancelled before it starts, every player who paid a share is refunded to their wallet.
- Players you invite are your responsibility while they are on your booking — venues may hold the booking holder accountable for damage or conduct.
Tournaments
- Entry fees are charged at registration.
- Withdraw before the registration deadline and your entry fee is refunded. After the deadline, entry fees are non-refundable unless the organiser cancels the event.
- Format, seeding, scheduling and results are decided by the organiser. Reported results feed public leaderboards; we may correct or void results that are clearly false.
Wallet credit
- Wallet credit is store credit for use on Sportel. It has no cash value, cannot be transferred to another account, and cannot be withdrawn to a bank or card.
- Credit is applied automatically at checkout before any card charge.
- Credit issued as a promotion or referral reward may carry conditions or an expiry, which we will show you when it is issued. Credit from a refund does not expire while your account is active.
- If you delete your account, unused wallet credit is forfeited. Spend it first.
Referrals and promotions
Referral rewards and promo codes are for genuine new players. We may withhold or reverse rewards, and close the accounts involved, where we see self-referral, duplicate or fake accounts, or other manipulation. Promotions may be changed or withdrawn at any time, and cannot be combined unless we say so.
Memberships and passes
- Benefits — discounts, free minutes, waived fees, priority booking or guest passes — are set by the venue or by Sportel and shown on the plan before you buy.
- Recurring memberships renew automatically at the interval shown until you cancel. Cancel any time before the next renewal; you keep the benefits until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Passes run for a fixed period from purchase and are not refundable once used. Unused benefits do not roll over.
Payments and pricing
Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are shown in the local currency of the venue, inclusive of any stated service fee and taxes, before you confirm. By confirming, you authorise us to charge your selected payment method for that amount. If a payment fails or is charged back, we may hold the related booking or restrict your account until it is resolved.
Acceptable use
Do not use Sportel to:
- harass, threaten or abuse other players, venues or our staff;
- post false results, fake reviews or misleading venue information;
- commit fraud, launder funds or abuse promotions;
- scrape, reverse engineer, overload or interfere with the service;
- resell court slots or memberships without the venue's permission.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you post — reviews, photos, squad names, messages — and you grant us a non-exclusive licence to host and display it within Sportel. Keep it lawful, accurate and respectful. We may remove content that breaks these terms or the law.
For venue partners
Venues using the Sportel dashboard are responsible for the accuracy of their listings, prices, availability and licences, for honouring confirmed bookings, and for the safety of their facilities. Commercial terms — commission, payouts and payout schedule — are set out in your venue agreement, which prevails over these terms where they conflict.
Suspension and closure
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, creates risk for other users or venues, or is used fraudulently. You can close your account at any time from Settings. Closure does not cancel bookings already confirmed or refund entry fees that were already non-refundable.
Disclaimers and liability
Sport carries risk of injury. You take part at your own risk and are responsible for being fit to play and for following each venue's rules.
Sportel is provided "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we are not responsible for the conduct of venues, organisers or other players. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to Sportel is limited to the amount you paid through Sportel in the three months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and the courts of Islamabad have exclusive jurisdiction — except where the law of your country of residence gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product changes. We will move the "updated" date at the top, and we will notify you in the app before a material change takes effect. Continuing to use Sportel after that means you accept the new terms.
